Drive through Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale or Fayetteville and you'll see new neighborhoods going up everywhere. A brand-new home is exciting. What builders leave behind is less so: a fine layer of drywall dust, sawdust and debris settled into every surface, cabinet and vent.
Why construction dust is different
Drywall and sanding dust is extremely fine. It drifts into cabinets, coats ledges and trim, and settles again after a single wipe. A standard clean usually isn't enough. It takes multiple passes, the right tools and a top-to-bottom order of operations.
What a post-construction clean covers
- Fine dust removed from every surface, ledge, trim piece and window sill
- Stickers, labels, adhesive and paint specks removed from glass and fixtures
- Cabinets and drawers cleaned inside and out
- Light fixtures, vents, outlets and switch plates dusted
- New appliances cleaned inside and out
- Floors vacuumed and mopped with multiple passes
Timing it right
Schedule post-construction cleaning after all trades have finished, including touch-up paint and final punch-list items, and before you move furniture in. If you're working with a builder, we're happy to coordinate timing.
Why natural products matter on new finishes
New floors, counters and cabinetry deserve gentle care. Natural, non-toxic products clean thoroughly without leaving chemical residue on brand-new surfaces, and without filling a new home with fumes on move-in day.
